Hello, my name is Austin Ledmor, and I am a Resident in Counseling with a background rooted in supporting individuals across a variety of life stages and experiences. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or ready for change, you do not have to navigate it alone. I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, grounded, and authentic.
My approach is primarily person-centered, and I strive to meet you where you are with respect, curiosity, and compassion. I integrate mindfulness, nature-based therapy, and DBT skills to support emotional awareness, regulation, and meaningful change. I am especially passionate about self-compassion work, helping individuals quiet self-criticism and develop a more supportive relationship with themselves.
I have the most experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and men, and I aim to create a space where people feel safe, seen, and heard. At the same time, I welcome clients of all ages, identities, and backgrounds.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Mars Hill University and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. Although I grew up in central Virginia area I spent over 12 years living in Asheville, North Carolina, where I developed a deep appreciation for the grounding and restorative impact of nature. Outside of therapy, I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, yoga, kayaking, and live music, and I bring these values of connection, presence, and balance into my work.
Whether we are exploring patterns, strengthening relationships, or building coping skills, my goal is to support you in creating a life that feels more intentional, balanced, and aligned with who you are.
My clinical supervisor is Crystal Myers, LPC. She can be reached at (434)990-1744.
